Each year our foundation sponsors a charity golf tournament called the Brad Vestal Memorial Golf Tournament in Pompano Beach, Florida. The tournament now in its fourteenth year has raised more than $325,000 for charity. The monies have gone to a variety of organizations and causes, including cancer and AIDS research, scholarships and disaster relief. It is our hope that you will be able to make a contribution to help make this endeavor a success. The tournament will be held on June 5, 2010 at the Pompano Beach Golf Course & Galuppi’s.
Brad was an amazing child, who always had a smile on his face, despite his handicap. Two weeks after his 12th birthday, he suffered a seizure during the night and passed away. We hold this tournament to remember Brad and to raise funds to benefit others like him. We hope that with your generosity and assistance we will be able to continue to help others in Brad’s wonderful memory.
The tournament is family-oriented with opportunities for prizes and lots of fun. The Foundation Board genuinely hopes that you, your family and friends will come out and play golf. All the prizes, programs, refreshments and auction items are donated. All monies generated, less golf fees, go directly to charities, we create no overhead.
Immediately after golf there will be a luncheon held at Galuppi’s, where prizes will be awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place foursomes. There is an auction after the tournament for signed sports memorabilia, dinners, vacations, weekend getaways, sports events, entertainment and other specialty items.
